How Many Countries Can You Use Airalo eSIMs In?

• Airalo offers eSIMs that work in over 200+ countries and regions worldwide. You can purchase individual country eSIMS, regional, or even global eSIM that covers multiple locations. 

  • We used it in Japan in 2023. 2024 we were able to use it in Greece, Croatia, Montenegro, and Amsterdam all in a 2 week trip without buying a different plan.

Can You Use One Airalo eSIM in Multiple Countries?

• Yes, but you need to purchase a regional or global eSIM for multiple countries without switching SIMS. If you buy a specific country eSIM, it will only work in that particular country. 

• Make sure you read carefully which countries are covered in the region you want.

Can You Make Phone Calls and Text Messages with Airalo eSims?

• Airalo eSIMS is designed for data usage. They don’t include phone numbers for making calls or sending sms messages. You can use VoIP services like WhatsApp, Skype, facetime for calls and messages. 

• We were able to set up a phone number through google voice.

Can You Use an Airalo eSIM on Multiple Devices?

• Airalo eSIM can only be used on one device at a time. If you need wifi on multiple devices you will need to purchase a separate plan for each device.

How do you install an Airalo eSim?

• Make sure your phone supports eSIMS and is unlocked.

• Purchase an eSIM plan from Airalo.

• Scan the provided QR code or manually enter the activation details.

• Follow the on-screen instructions to activate your eSIM.

• Select the eSIM as your mobile data provider in settings. 

• Airalo will provide installations for iOS and Android devices.

Is Airalo eSIM compatible with iOS and Android?

• Yes, as long the device is eSIM compatible and is unlocked.

• Yes, it needs to be unlocked. If you need to unlock it, you will need to contact your carrier to unlock it before using an eSIM.

• I personally never had any issues with connecting and it was super easy to refill anytime I wanted.

What happens if you don’t finish your data? How long does the eSIM last?

• It depends on which plan you purchase. Some plans are 1, 7, 15, or 30 days. If you don’t use all your data within the time period, it will expire and you’ll need to purchase a new plan.
